Peach Blossoms Amidst Snow-Capped Mountains

The first half of the journey was spent revelling in the spruce and peach groves of Bomigang Township and the snow-capped reflections along the Yarlung Tsangpo River.

The latter part traversed the heartland of Shannan, where one could ponder the millennia-old echoes of Samye Monastery, Tibet's first temple, ascend Yumbulagang Palace—the region's inaugural royal residence—to overlook the Yarlung Valley, and encounter glacial peach blossoms by the azure shores of Yamdrok Lake.

This journey offers a feast for both the eyes and the soul—feeling the warmth of faith amidst the blossoming peach trees, and finding inner tranquillity reflected in the clear waters of the sacred lake.

Arrival in Lhasa (altitude 3,650 metres)
Afternoon: Arrive in Lhasa and acclimatise to the high-altitude environment; rest is recommended.

Evening: Check into an oxygen-supplying hotel; free time, but avoid strenuous activity.

Lhasa—Nyingchi (altitude 2,900 metres)
Morning: Travel along National Highway 318 towards Nyingchi, taking in the scenery of the Nyang River Valley en route.

Afternoon: Visit Basum Lake (where peach blossoms bloom amidst snow on the lake island), arriving in Nyingchi by evening.

Accommodation: Hotel in Nyingchi city centre.

Linzhi Peach Blossom Valley Full-Day In-Depth Tour
Morning: Proceed to Gala Peach Blossom Village (the main venue of the Peach Blossom Festival) to capture the harmonious blend of peach blossoms and snow-capped mountains.

Afternoon: Explore the Peach Blossom Ravine in Bomê (Qingduo Town to Guxiang Lake section), immersing oneself in the tranquillity of wild peach blossoms and Tibetan villages.

Evening: Savour speciality dishes including Tibetan-scented pork and matsutake mushroom hotpot chicken.
