Morning: Travel east along National Highway 318, crossing the Sêji La Pass with distant views of Mount Namcha Barwa
Noon: Savour Lulang stone pot chicken (simmered with matsutake mushrooms and palm ginseng)
Afternoon: Explore Lulang's forest expanse and hike through alpine pastures

Morning: Traverse the perilous Tongmai Pass to reach Bomi, visiting the Bomi Red Building (Red History Memorial Hall)
Afternoon: Proceed to Peach Blossom Valley and Galang Lake, followed by a hike through the Gangyushan Forest (light 2-hour trek to view primeval forests and snow-capped mountain reflections)
Accommodation: Stay in Bomi County town (altitude approx. 2,700 metres)






Full day: Travel along the Zhamo Highway to reach the county town of Mêdog.
Note: The entire Zhamo Highway consists of winding mountain roads, requiring passage through the Galongla Snow Mountain Tunnel (elevation 3,315 metres).
The entire Galongla Tunnel section from Bomi (24 kilometres) is freely accessible, but subsequent sections have time restrictions (e.g., speed limit permits required at K52 and K80 checkpoints).
Departure from Bomi by 8:00 am is recommended.
Additionally: Medog implements restricted access rules – entry permitted on even-numbered dates, exit on odd-numbered dates (strictly adhere to date-based itinerary planning).
Highlights: Visit the spectacular Gugu Tang Grand Bend (Yarlung Tsangpo River's unique geological formation), explore Monpa ethnic villages, and view the vine-net bridge.

Morning: Return journey from Medog, passing through Pai Town with distant views of the Yarlung Tsangpo River's source
Afternoon: Enter the Yarlung Tsangpo Grand Canyon scenic area, proceed to Sosong Village to await the "Golden Mountain" phenomenon on Mount Namcha Barwa
Accommodation: Tibetan-style guesthouse in Sosong Village



Morning: Gentle hike within the Yarlung Tsangpo Grand Canyon (e.g. from Tömdzil Monastery to Darlim Village), photographing the riverbank sand dunes and the Tsangpo Badong waterfall cluster.
Afternoon: Return to Bayi District, visit the Nyang River Wetland Park.
