Welcome to Lhasa, the 'City of Sunlight'! This marks the beginning of your Tibetan journey, where Tibetan culture and natural splendour unfold before you. Upon your arrival by plane or train, our Tibetan guides, dressed in traditional attire, will await you with white khatas (the most solemn ceremonial scarves in Tibetan culture), offering heartfelt blessings of 'Tashi Delek' to commence your warm Tibetan adventure.
Subsequently, your guide and dedicated driver will escort you to your boutique hotel in central Lhasa. En route, admire the vistas of Tibet's two mother rivers through your window – the Yarlung Tsangpo (Tibet's longest and mightiest river, nourishing all life in the region) and the Lhasa River (the "blue khata" encircling the City of Sunlight) – offering your first glimpse of Tibet's vastness and pristine beauty. After checking in, please ensure you allow ample time to rest and acclimatise to the high altitude (avoid strenuous activity and drink plenty of water). Should you experience mild altitude sickness symptoms (such as dizziness or shortness of breath), there is no need for concern—this is perfectly normal. Our guides will have prepared helpful altitude sickness prevention tips for you in advance.
In the afternoon or evening, your guide will pay a courtesy visit bearing traditional Tibetan gifts (surprise boxes). They will provide detailed explanations of the itinerary and important considerations, and facilitate introductions to fellow travellers, fostering camaraderie before departure.
Should you require any assistance (such as dietary adjustments or additional services), our 24-hour service hotline remains available at all times.

Embark today on a 'Self-Drive Journey Through Hidden Natural Wonders', unlocking Tibet's most vibrant landscape paintings! Departing Lhasa at dawn, drive approximately four hours to Basongcuo Lake, the 'Emerald Gem of Earth'. The lake's waters shimmer in varying shades of blue-green beneath the sun, while the island temple of Tso Zong Gongba lies hidden amidst dense forests. Stroll along the lakeside boardwalk to immerse yourself in the tranquil harmony of snow-capped peaks, ancient forests, serene waters, and historic monasteries. Your guide will recount the millennia-old legends of this sacred site.
Afternoon sees a switch to dedicated off-road vehicles for a unique self-drive experience through the Yarlung Tsangpo Grand Canyon – the world's deepest and longest gorge. Travel along the canyon road to witness the river's majestic torrent up close, with opportunities to stop at designated viewpoints along the route to capture the canyon's spectacular scenery framed by snow-capped peaks (your guide will pre-select optimal vantage points).
By evening, you'll arrive at Sosong Village (2,700 metres above sea level), renowned as the "premier viewing village" for Mount Namcha Barwa. The snow-capped peaks outline the horizon visible from your hotel window. After settling in and resting briefly, take a leisurely stroll through the village, engage in conversation with local Tibetan villagers, and immerse yourself in the unspoilt simplicity of life untouched by commercialisation.

Today promises a journey home brimming with wonder and emotion. At dawn, we shall await the sunrise over Mount Namcha Barwa in Sosong Village—a sight so rare that it is said only one in ten witnesses it. When the first rays pierce the clouds, draping this 'most beautiful snow-capped mountain in China' in golden light, the sheer awe will etch itself into your memory forever. Tibetans believe those who behold this spectacle are blessed with good fortune for the entire year.
We shall then proceed to the wondrous Buddha's Palm Sand Dunes, where you shall behold the extraordinary coexistence of snow-capped peaks, desert, and forest. Touch the fine grains of sand with your own hands, listen to the ancient tales whispered by the wind and sand, and marvel at nature's extraordinary creativity.
In the afternoon, we embark on our return journey along the Nyang River, hailed as "Tibet's Yangtze." Crystal-clear waters, dense primeval forests, and scattered Tibetan dwellings compose a flowing panorama. We shall pause at the finest vantage point, allowing you to capture this dreamlike scenery through your lens.

Today marks our 'Deep Cultural Immersion Day', taking you to the very heart of Lhasa's spiritual essence and traditional wisdom!
This morning begins with a visit to the Potala Palace—the world's highest palace complex and an artistic treasure of Tibetan Buddhism. Guided by our tour leader, you'll explore the Red Palace and White Palace, admiring priceless thangkas, murals, and Buddhist statues. Hear the timeless tale of Songtsen Gampo and Princess Wencheng, and discover the exquisite craftsmanship and religious symbolism of Tibetan architecture.
Afternoon takes us to Sera Monastery to witness Tibet's unique tradition of "monastic debate" (Monday to Saturday, 15:00-17:00). Monks clad in crimson robes engage in animated debates on Buddhist doctrine, employing exaggerated gestures and eloquent rhetoric with solemn expressions. Your guide will elucidate the rules and profound significance of these debates—a vital method for monks to acquire knowledge and deepen their spiritual practice.
Following the debates, immerse yourself in Tibetan incense culture: visit a master artisan's workshop to learn about the millennia-old history and craftsmanship of Tibetan incense (made from natural Tibetan medicinal herbs and spices). Under the artisan's guidance, handcraft your own unique Tibetan incense, experiencing the distinctive charm of "Tibetan aromas".
In the evening, indulge in a Tibetan medicinal bath—a treasure of Tibetan wellness. Brewed from dozens of natural Tibetan herbs, this soak alleviates travel fatigue, improves sleep, and aids acclimatisation to high altitudes. Relax body and mind in the warm herbal bath, allowing both to be nourished.

Today we embark upon the "Tibet's Hidden Path", encountering the awe-inspiring beauty of sacred lakes, glaciers and highland reservoirs! Departing Lhasa at dawn, we travel approximately 2.5 hours along the Yarlung-Yarlung Highway to reach Yamdrok Lake, one of Tibet's Three Sacred Lakes. From the viewing platform, the lake appears like a sapphire set amidst the mountains, shifting through hues of blue, turquoise, and green with the light. Capture this scene in photographs or stroll along the lakeshore to absorb its tranquil sanctity (our guide will remind you to respect local customs—refrain from swimming or littering).
Continuing onward, you'll reach Karola Glacier—one of Tibet's three major continental glaciers and the closest glacier to the highway. The glacier's main peak rises to 7,191 metres, with its ice tongue extending down to 5,560 metres. Here you may admire the glacier's majestic grandeur up close and touch millennia-old ice. Your guide will recount the glacier's formation history and its connection to the film Red River Valley.
En route, we pass Manla Reservoir, an artificial lake renowned as the "Pearl of the Plateau" for its sapphire-blue waters. Flanked by steep canyon walls, the reservoir offers picturesque vistas where mountains and water harmoniously complement each other, presenting an excellent photo opportunity where we may briefly stop.
Arriving in Shigatse (3,800 metres above sea level) by evening, you'll check into a city centre hotel to rest and acclimatise to the altitude, preparing for tomorrow's journey across the northern Tibetan grasslands.

Today we venture into the "Hidden Realm of Northern Tibet", experiencing the untamed vastness of grasslands, sacred mountains and holy lakes! Departing Shigatse at dawn, we catch distant views of Mount Jiegangri – this renowned sacred peak of northern Tibet, its summit perpetually crowned with snow, glistening brilliantly in the sunlight. Your guide will recount the mountain's legends and the local Tibetan faith and customs.
We then traverse the Northern Tibetan Grasslands (also known as the "Qiangtang Grasslands"), one of China's largest grassland ecosystems. Endless stretches of verdant pasture merge with azure skies and billowing clouds, while herds of Tibetan antelope, wild asses, and yaks roam freely across the plains. You may stop at any point to observe these plateau creatures up close (please maintain a safe distance to protect wildlife).
At midday, we arrive at Selin Co—Tibet's largest lake and the second-largest saltwater lake on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Its azure waters are crystal clear, surrounded by vast wetlands and grasslands that host numerous rare bird species annually. Stroll along the lakeshore to experience the sacred lake's tranquillity and ecological beauty, admiring the breathtaking vista where "sky and water merge as one".
Evening arrival in Bangong County (4,200 metres above sea level). Check into a locally distinctive hotel. Dinner features Northern Tibetan specialities (such as hand-pulled mutton and butter tea). Rest and acclimatise to the high-altitude environment.

Today marks the "Farewell Journey to Sacred Lakes and Mountains", where you shall encounter Tibet's most enchanting natural and cultural landscapes! Departing from Bangong at dawn, we journey to Bamucuo—the "Sister Lakes" of northern Tibetan grasslands (adjacent to Namtso). where crystal-clear waters reflect snow-capped peaks. This scenery rivals Namtso in beauty yet remains untouched by crowds, allowing you exclusive moments of tranquillity for uninterrupted photography.
Next, proceed to the Sacred Elephant Heavenly Gate—the iconic landmark at Namtso's northern entrance. A rock formation resembling an "elephant drinking" juts majestically into the lake. Beside the "Three Lives Stone," you may make heartfelt wishes (legend holds that prayers here fulfil aspirations for marital bliss, health, and prosperity), immersing yourself in Tibet's romantic and sacred essence.
En route, catch distant views of the Nyenchen Tanglha Mountains—one of Tibet's Four Sacred Mountains. Its main peak rises to 7,162 metres, its majestic form forming the perfect counterpart to Namtso, collectively honoured as the "Sacred Mountain and Holy Lake." Your guide will recount the love legend linking Nyenchen Tanglha and Namtso, enriching the natural scenery with cultural resonance.
In the afternoon, we shall drive back to Lhasa, admiring the northern Tibetan grasslands and river valleys along the way. Arriving in Lhasa by evening, we conclude this fulfilling journey through the hidden wonders of northern Tibet.

Today, we shall bring this extraordinary journey to a fitting conclusion with an immersive experience of Tibetan art.
This morning, we invite you to step into a workshop dedicated to the intangible cultural heritage of thangka painting for an in-depth cultural immersion. Guided by a nationally recognised master painter, you will unravel the millennia-old secrets of thangka tradition, discern the essence of distinct painting schools—such as the solemn grandeur of the Men-Tran style and the vivid realism of the Khyentse tradition—and witness the complete creative process from preparing the canvas to applying natural mineral pigments and gilded outlines. Subsequently, under one-to-one guidance from the master painter, you will personally experience the fundamental steps of thangka painting. You will learn how to sketch outlines and fill in colours, ultimately completing your own small thangka artwork imbued with blessings (which you may take home as a treasured keepsake). This will allow you to permanently preserve this Tibetan memory, embodying both craftsmanship and goodwill.
Come evening, we present a farewell banquet steeped in authentic Tibetan flavour. Savour traditional delicacies such as aromatic Tibetan-style chicken, butter tsampa, and sweet yoghurt rice amidst a warm atmosphere, raising glasses of barley wine. Relive journey highlights with your guides, driver, and fellow travellers, sharing most cherished moments.
Following the banquet, your dedicated driver will provide punctual transfers to Lhasa Gonggar Airport or railway station according to your flight or train schedule. With fond farewells and heartfelt blessings, we offer our final "Tashi Delek" and look forward to welcoming you back to the sacred plateau!
