Welcome to Lhasa, the "City of Sunlight"! This marks the beginning of your Tibetan journey, where Tibetan culture and natural splendour unfold before you. Upon your arrival by plane or train, our Tibetan guides, dressed in traditional attire, will await you with white khatas (the most solemn ceremonial scarves in Tibetan culture), offering heartfelt blessings of "Tashi Delek" to commence your warm Tibetan adventure.
Subsequently, your guide and dedicated driver will escort you to your boutique hotel in central Lhasa. En route, admire the vistas of Tibet's two mother rivers through your window – the Yarlung Tsangpo (Tibet's longest and mightiest river, nourishing all life in the region) and the Lhasa River (the "blue khata" encircling the City of Sunlight) – offering your first glimpse of Tibet's vastness and pristine beauty.
After checking in, please ensure you allow ample time to rest and acclimatise to the high altitude (avoid strenuous activity and drink plenty of water). Should you experience mild altitude sickness symptoms (such as dizziness or shortness of breath), there is no need for concern—this is perfectly normal. Our guides will have prepared helpful altitude sickness prevention tips for you in advance.
In the afternoon or evening, your guide will visit your accommodation bearing traditional Tibetan gifts (customised gift boxes). They will provide detailed explanations of the itinerary and important considerations, and facilitate introductions to your fellow travellers, fostering camaraderie before departure.
Should you require any assistance (such as dietary adjustments or additional services), our 24-hour service hotline remains available at all times. We are committed to resolving any concerns promptly.

Today marks the commencement of our journey into the true hidden wonders of Tibet.
Following breakfast, we shall travel by coach to Basongcuo Lake, renowned as the 'Emerald of the Earth'. The four-hour coach journey itself offers a visual feast, with Tibetan villages, snow-capped mountains stretching into the distance, and pastoral landscapes accompanying us along the way.
Upon arrival, you shall stroll along the emerald shores, admiring the breathtaking reflection of snow-capped peaks in the azure waters. Ascend to the central island to explore the millennia-old Tsongkor Monastery, experiencing the perfect fusion of Tibetan Buddhism and natural splendour.
In the afternoon, we venture deep into the "Last Secret Realm of Humanity"—the Yarlung Tsangpo Grand Canyon. Travelling along the winding road, you will experience firsthand the visual awe and profound impact of this world's deepest gorge.
Our destination for the day is Sosong Village. Nestled deep within the gorge at an altitude of just 2,700 metres, this tranquil settlement offers an unparalleled vantage point for viewing the "Shy Girl Peak," Namcha Barwa.
After settling into your scenic hotel and acclimatising, should the evening skies clear, you may be privileged to witness the extraordinary spectacle of "Sunlit Golden Mountain"—the setting sun draping Namcha Barwa in a golden mantle.

Today promises a journey home brimming with wonder and emotion. At dawn, we shall await the sunrise over Mount Namcha Barwa in Sosong Village—a sight so rare that it is said only one in ten witnesses it. When the first rays pierce the clouds, draping this 'most beautiful snow-capped mountain in China' in golden light, the sheer awe will etch itself into your memory forever. Tibetans believe those who behold this spectacle are blessed with good fortune for the entire year.
We shall then proceed to the wondrous Buddha's Palm Sand Dunes, where you shall behold the extraordinary coexistence of snow-capped peaks, desert, and forest. Touch the fine grains of sand with your own hands, listen to the ancient tales whispered by the wind and sand, and marvel at nature's extraordinary creativity.
In the afternoon, we embark on our return journey along the Nyang River, hailed as "Tibet's Yangtze." Crystal-clear waters, dense primeval forests, and scattered Tibetan dwellings compose a flowing panorama. We shall pause at the finest vantage point, allowing you to capture this dreamlike scenery through your lens.
Arriving in Lhasa at dusk, our attentive guide will recommend local restaurants tailored to your preferences or arrange a relaxing Tibetan foot bath to wash away the journey's fatigue, ensuring you are refreshed and ready for tomorrow's new adventures.

Today marks the commencement of our exploration along the "Tibet's Hidden Path", where we shall encounter the breathtaking vistas of sacred lakes, glaciers and high-altitude reservoirs. Departing Lhasa at dawn, we shall travel approximately 2.5 hours along the Yarlung Tsangpo Expressway to reach Yamdrok Lake, one of Tibet's three sacred lakes. From the viewing platform, the lake appears like a sapphire set amidst the mountains, shifting through dreamlike hues of blue, turquoise, and green as the light changes. Take photographs here or stroll along the lakeshore to absorb the sacred lake's tranquillity (our guide will remind you to respect local customs by refraining from swimming or littering).
Continuing onward, we reach Karola Glacier—one of Tibet's three major continental glaciers and the closest to the highway. Its main peak rises to 7,191 metres, with the ice tongue extending down to 5,560 metres. Here you may observe the glacier's majestic expanse up close, touch millennia-old ice, and listen to the guide recount its geological origins and the filming of the movie Red River Valley.
En route, we pass Manla Reservoir, hailed as the "Pearl of the Plateau". This man-made reservoir derives its name from its sapphire-blue waters. The steep canyon walls flanking the reservoir mirror the tranquil lake surface, creating an exceptional photographic vantage point where we shall pause for you to admire and capture the scene.
We arrive in Shigatse (3,800 metres above sea level) in the evening. After settling into our city centre hotel, you may rest and acclimatise to the new altitude, conserving your energy for tomorrow's journey.

Today marks the most thrilling moment of this journey—a pilgrimage to the world's highest peak!
Departing Shigatse at dawn, we traverse winding mountain roads to reach the Gyaula Pass at 5,210 metres above sea level. Standing upon this world-class viewing platform, you shall witness the Himalayas' most spectacular panorama—four 8,000-metre peaks, Makalu, Lhotse, Mount Everest, and Cho Oyu, arrayed in a single line. These towering summits stand majestically, revealing the awe-inspiring grandeur of heaven and earth.
We then proceed to Everest Base Camp (5,200 metres above sea level). As your feet touch this sacred ground and gaze upon the world's highest peak within reach, the awe of that moment will become an indelible memory. You may visit the world's highest post office at Everest Base Camp, sending postcards bearing the exclusive Everest postmark to loved ones or yourself. Capture precious images before the 8,848.86-metre measurement monument, letting the lens witness your dialogue with the mountain.
In the evening, settle into Basong Village at the foot of Everest. As night falls, look skyward—here, free from light pollution, the dazzling Milky Way stretches like a jade ribbon across the heavens. Together with the serene, solemn silhouette of Everest, it creates an unparalleled vista where "stars and snow-capped mountains share the frame." This grandeur and tranquillity, where heaven and earth meet, will serve as the most perfect coda to your Tibetan journey.

Today we shall explore the lesser-known hidden gems of the rear Tibet region, experiencing the diversity and wonder of the plateau's ecology. Departing from Basong Village at dawn, we first arrive at the remarkable Hundred Thousand Sand Dunes, where you shall witness the rare spectacle of "half desert, half snow-capped mountains". Our guides will explain the formation of these dunes and the ecological balance that allows desert and oasis to coexist within the plateau's unique environment.
We shall then venture deep into the Dingxie Wetlands—an ecological treasure hailed as the "hidden water mirror of the plateau." This vital habitat for numerous rare bird species offers spring and summer opportunities to observe, through binoculars, the graceful black-necked cranes and flocks of bar-headed geese foraging and playing amidst vibrant scenes, immersing you in the plateau wetlands' teeming vitality.
Afternoon brings us to the lesser-known yet breathtaking Ama Zhimi Snow Mountain. This peak, still undiscovered by the tourist masses, retains its pristine, majestic grandeur. You may admire its imposing massif and crystalline glaciers up close, savouring this soul-stirring gift of nature in serene solitude.
Returning to Shigatse at dusk, you may unwind at your hotel and reflect upon this day's journey through hidden realms, rich with discovery and profound emotion.

Today we venture into the "Hidden Realm of Northern Tibet", experiencing the untamed vastness of grasslands, sacred mountains and holy lakes!
Departing Shigatse at dawn, we catch distant views of Mount Jiegangri – this renowned sacred peak of Northern Tibet, its summit perpetually crowned with snow, glistening brilliantly in the sunlight. Your guide will recount the mountain's legends and the local Tibetan faith and customs. We then traverse the Northern Tibetan Grasslands (also known as the "Qiangtang Grasslands"), one of China's largest grassland ecosystems. Endless stretches of verdant pasture merge with azure skies and billowing clouds, while herds of Tibetan antelope, wild asses, and yaks roam freely across the plains. You may stop at any point to observe these plateau creatures up close (please maintain a safe distance to protect wildlife).
At midday, arrive at Selin Co—Tibet's largest lake and the second-largest saltwater lake on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Its azure waters are crystal clear, surrounded by vast wetlands and grasslands that host numerous rare bird species annually. Stroll along the lakeshore to experience the sacred lake's tranquillity and ecological beauty, admiring the breathtaking vista where "sky and water merge into one".
Arrive in Bangong County (4,200 metres above sea level) in the evening. Check into a locally distinctive hotel and savour Northern Tibetan cuisine for dinner (such as hand-pulled mutton and butter tea). Rest and acclimatise to the high-altitude environment.

Today marks the culmination of our farewell journey to sacred lakes and divine mountains, where we shall encounter Northern Tibet's most captivating natural wonders and cultural legends.
Departing Bango at dawn, we journey to Bam Co, hailed as Namtso's sister lake. This jade-green expanse on the northern Tibetan plateau boasts mirror-like waters reflecting the surrounding snow-capped peaks in perfect symmetry. With few visitors, you may savour this tranquil realm undisturbed, capturing your own breathtaking photographs amidst pristine wilderness.
Next, discover the hidden gem of Namtso's northern shore—the Sacred Elephant Heavenly Gate. Here, naturally formed boulders resemble a sacred elephant bending to drink, creating a breathtaking scene against the azure lake. Beside the legendary "Stone of Three Lives," you may make heartfelt wishes for love, health, and prosperity (local lore holds these prayers particularly potent), immersing yourself in Tibet's unique blend of romance and sacredness.
En route, we shall pause at the prime vantage point to gaze upon the Qomolangma Tangula Mountain. This 7,162-metre peak, one of Tibet's Four Sacred Mountains, forms the region's most celebrated "sacred mountain and holy lake" pairing with Namtso. Listen as your guide recounts their poignant love legend, imbuing the majestic natural landscape with captivating cultural resonance.
In the afternoon, we begin our return journey to Lhasa, travelling between the northern Tibetan grasslands and winding river valleys, revisiting the moving and awe-inspiring moments of our journey. We are expected to arrive in Lhasa in the evening. After checking into the hotel, you may enjoy free time or join us to share the precious memories of this journey through the hidden wonders of northern Tibet.

Morning visit to the Jokhang Temple—a sacred site for Tibetan Buddhist devotees—to interpret the religious narratives depicted in the enshrined life-size statue of the twelve-year-old Shakyamuni Buddha, thangkas, and murals.
In the afternoon, immerse yourself in the artistic treasures of Tibet, bringing your journey to a perfect conclusion! Step into a thangka workshop to embark on an "Intangible Cultural Heritage Experience". Under the guidance of a nationally recognised thangka master, learn about the millennia-old history of thangkas, their painting schools (Menri and Khyentse traditions), and craftsmanship techniques (such as natural mineral pigments, gold-thread outlining, and entirely hand-painted execution). Appreciate precious thangka masterpieces up close. Subsequently, try your hand at thangka painting — under the artist's guidance, learn foundational techniques for outlining and colouring to create your own miniature thangka (which you may take home as a memento). Experience the delicacy and sacredness of Tibetan artistry, carrying Tibet's blessings home with you.
In the evening, join our farewell banquet. Savour distinctive Tibetan cuisine whilst reflecting on this unforgettable journey with your guide, driver, and fellow travellers, sharing experiences and heartfelt moments.
Upon completion of the entire itinerary, our driver will safely escort you to either Lhasa Gonggar Airport or Lhasa Railway Station according to your flight/train schedule. We bid you farewell with a final "Tashi Delek" for your Tibetan journey, looking forward to welcoming you back to Tibet once more!
