Travel west along China's Panda Highway, passing through Yingxiu Town (with optional visit to the earthquake memorial site), crossing Balang Mountain, and enjoying distant views of the Siguniang Mountains.

Evening:

Stay at a distinctive guesthouse in Siguniangshan Town. Elevation approximately 3,200 metres – please take care to acclimatise.

Full Day:

Explore Shuangqiao Valley, the most picturesque section of Siguniang Mountain. Take the sightseeing bus directly to the foot of the snow-capped peaks, where you'll encounter snow-covered mountains, alpine meadows, forests and mountain lakes along the way. Optional activities include hiking or horse riding.

Morning:

Journey to Danba Jiaju Tibetan Village, hailed as "China's most picturesque countryside".

Afternoon:

Hike through the Tibetan settlement, admiring the fortified watchtower complexes. Stay overnight in a Tibetan homestay to immerse yourself in local culture.

Evening:

Dine with Tibetan hosts, savouring butter tea and roasted barley cakes.

Morning:

Journey to Tagong Grassland, where you may gaze upon the distant Yala Snow Mountain. Visit Tagong Monastery and capture the golden roof framed against the snow-capped peaks.

Afternoon:

Arrive at Xinduqiao, renowned as a photographer's paradise. Before sunset, you may photograph the shifting light and shadows across Tibetan dwellings and poplar groves.

Morning:

Proceed to Leshan (approximately 2 hours' drive) to visit the Leshan Giant Buddha. This 71-metre-tall statue, the world's largest carved stone Buddha, was initiated during the Tang Dynasty and took 90 years to complete.

Afternoon:

Depending on flight schedules, transfer to Chengdu Shuangliu/Tianfu Airport to conclude the journey.
