This one-day experience itinerary will take you on a journey through the past and present of Shu Brocade—witnessing the millennia-old art of weaving as warp and weft intertwine amidst the hum of Qing Dynasty looms; and, under the hands-on guidance of an Intangible Cultural Heritage inheritor, weaving a small piece of Shu Brocade yourself; visit a cultural and creative hub housed in a converted old factory, and within the art spaces built of stacked red bricks, discover why Chengdu is known as the ‘City of Brocade’. Spend a day immersed in the focus of your fingertips and the joy of creation, taking home your own memories of the ‘City of Brocade’.
